992 EG :

 

The Model 992EG (Extended Gain) differs from the ‘TLS’ in input topology only. By utilizing the Jensen JT-115k input transformer and two ECC803/12AX7 vacuum tubes per channel, this configuration is able to provides >74dB of gain (usually about 76dB ...) with a typical non-weighted EIN of -125dB referencing 150ohm. All other design elements are the same as the 992TLS including a push/pull output stage featuring the Jensen JT-11-BM transformer.

The Model 583s is the world’s first vacuum tube preamplifiers designed for 500 series frames and is based on our popular 992EG platform. The input stage is a traditional single-ended type utilizing a 1:10 microphone input transformer along with one ECC83/12AX7 vacuum tube. The output stage utilizes premium Burr-Brown and THAT Corporation balanced line drivers.
