CM12:

The Wunder Audio CM12 Tube Microphone is targeted to the professional with the most demanding criteria. The CM12 uses the larger Hiller T14/1 output transformer that was standard in the early C12. The beautiful hand made Capsule is a CK12 style. These boutique microphones are hand assembled in Texas per customers order.
· Tubes are hand tested NOS GE 5-star 6072.
· All the capacitors and resistors are of the highest quality available, offering a better low end and S/N ratio.
· High-end Silver wire to wire up the entire mic.
· Modern PSU offers nine polar pickup patterns. PSU's True precision regulation combined with passive filtering, safer for microphone and capsule, RF and Transient voltage protected AC input.
· Point-to-point internal wiring for the audio path, true to the original C12.
· Swivel mount is a spectacular piece of craftsmanship itself with the large green jewel.
· Oak box with black suede padded lining is included.

CM7:

The Wunder Audio CM7 Tube Microphone comes with the original large-style U47 transformer that was used in the earlier U47's, including the legendary "Large Badge" U47. These first couple of hundred U47's are very sought after sonically. The CM7 transformer's larger size and high nickel content achieves better low end rolling off at 20 Hz, identical to the original U47 design, instead of 40 Hz. The smaller 40 Hz transformer that was used in later versions of the U47 was made with the 40 Hz roll-off as a requirement for the IRT (German Broadcasting Network). In modern day recording this capability to capture the low end frequencies is essential.

Package includes: CM7, Plush Oak Box, Historical Shock Mount, Power supply, Original large Tuchel connected mic cable. Comes standard with the M7 capsule.

PEQ1:

New revision "B"- the PEQ1 is a fully Class-A discrete 1970's-style mic-pre/equalizer. It can directly replace the 1073. The 18-way gold plated Amphenol connector will mate with vintage Neve "80 Series" consoles or racks. The similarity to the 1073 stops there! Go to the "News" section of our website and read all the reviews.

PAFOUR:

The Wunder Audio PAFOUR is the 19" rack mount, four-channel microphone preamplifier version of the PEQ1. The PAFOUR is a fully Class-A discrete 1970's-style mic-pre utilizing the exact mic-pre circuit as the PEQ1. The design employs proprietary, custom-designed mic, and output transformers. It is no secret that the huge sound is due to the make-up of the Mu-Metal transformers. In the PAFOUR, you get four channels of the Wunder Audio sound in one unit!

The PAFOUR cuts no corners. We have included the same exact transformers from the PEQ1. The mere size of these transformers is unprecedented in a 4-channel mic pre unit. The Core material was made in 1970 and is comprised of 80% nickel, 15% Iron and 4% Cobalt yielding a fat vintage sound with virtually no phase shift. The low turn ratio of the windings (1:1.4) yields a mic pre that can handle very high level with no need for a pad.

The Instrument Input circuit includes the complete Line Input stage of the PEQ1R so one can utilize the now famous way of recording, for example DI Bass Guitar, directly into the Line Input of the Wunder, instead of using a direct box approach into the mic pre. This line Input stage has a huge 60 dB of input gain! No other multi-channel mic pre incorporates this Line Input approach with this much gain.

New Added output stage. The mic pre is identical to what we use in the PEQ1 series but we added an additional amplifier stage at the tail end of the existing output amp for even more headroom .

Peak LEDs for each channel.

Mic/Line Input Sensitivity switches are the highest quality gold-plated Swiss made switches available. All toggle switches are manufactured by C&K.

Electrolytic capacitors are the most popular Panasonic FC 105°C. Vintage-style, rare Polystyrene Foil capacitors are used throughout the amplifier stages. Metal can, not plastic, BC107C and BC109B transistors imported from the UK are used throughout the amplifier stages.

Enclosures are CAD designed to 1/1000" tolerance and are black-powder coated. PEM nut hardware is used throughout for solid construction. Unique transformer chassis mounts are used for structural integrity.

Custom designed knob sets are milled from aluminum and anodized red. Knob markers are embedded with white plastic dowels so the white mark will never wear off.
